The Damar Hamlin Community Toy Drive

The Damar Hamlin Community Toy Drive is a fundraising campaign organized by Damar Hamlin and his team to support a toy drive for children in need in the McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania community. The campaign was established to raise $2,500, but has since received a surge of support and has raised over $5.5 million. The toy drive is sponsored by the Chasing M’s Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Damar Hamlin to bring lasting impact to his community through initiatives such as toy drives, back-to-school drives, and kids camps.

The toy drive was established during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to help children who have been hard hit by the pandemic. 100% of the funds raised will go towards the purchase of toys for children in need. The toys will be distributed on December 22nd at Kelly and Nina’s Daycare Center in McKees Rocks. In addition to monetary donations, the campaign is also accepting donated toys and is encouraging people to spread the word by sharing the fundraiser on social media.

Several notable figures in the NFL have made significant donations to the toy drive, including Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford ($12,000), Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, Ciara ($10,000), Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady ($10,000), and Raiders coach Josh McDaniels ($2,500). In addition, Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin has announced that all proceeds from the sale of Damar Hamlin jerseys will be donated to the Chasing M’s Foundation.

The Damar Hamlin Community Toy Drive is a heartwarming example of the positive impact that can be made through community initiatives and the generosity of individuals. The success of the campaign is a testament to the power of coming together to support those in need, especially during difficult times.
